By sharing your story, you can encourage and support other first responders who may be walking a similar path.

Peers are required to use a current photo of themselves as their profile picture. Your image should reflect a friendly, professional presence—think *business casual, approachable, and clear*.

### Sample story ideas connected to first responder experiences:
- Responding to a difficult call or emergency that stayed with you—and how you processed it afterward
- Coping with the emotional impact of witnessing trauma, loss, or crisis
- Supporting a fellow first responder through a difficult experience, or a time someone supported you
- Balancing the demands and stress of the job with family, relationships, and life outside of work
- Experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, or emotional overwhelm—and what helped you find resilience and move forward
*PLEASE NOTE: Our Members are not made aware of these prompts. Please record your story organically and conversationally rather than responding as though you are answering an interview question. Focus on your personal experience, what helped you, and what you learned. Please avoid sharing identifying or confidential details about individuals involved in calls or incidents. Follow all instructions on the website closely.*
### **For every recording:**
- Speak naturally and honestly from your own lived experience.
- Use your first name only; do not share private identifying details.
- Record in a quiet space and make sure your voice is clear.
- Aim for the stated campaign length and review playback before submitting.
### **Video only:**
- Record vertically with the phone at eye level.
- Use a steady frame, clear lighting, and a simple background.
- Keep your full face visible with comfortable space around your head.
### **Audio only:**
- Keep the phone or microphone still and close enough for clear sound.
- Use a new topic or a meaningfully different angle from a video story.
