Profile Images

Peers are required to use an image of themselves as their profile picture. Profile pictures should provide a friendly, professional representation of yourself and meet all of our criteria outlined below. Think business casual, not dating site or social media!

Photo Requirements

FOCUS ON YOU

Use a photo where your face takes up around 60% of the photo, with room on each side. You should be the only face visible in the photo.

FORGET THE FILTERS

Authenticity is the goal. Avoid adding filters that stylize the look of your photo.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Try to avoid busy backgrounds - a photo with a neutral or blurry background is best. We want you to be the focus of the photo!

BE FRIENDLY

Choose a facial expression that is friendly and authentic to how you answer the phone.

LOOK SHARP

Wear something that looks clean and friendly. Business casual is a good place to start.

AVOID LOOKING FLIRTATIOUS

Remember this is not a dating app. You can show your personality without overdoing it.

NO LEWD, PROVOCATIVE,  OR SUGGESTIVE IMAGES

Do not use any image that may be deemed suggestive or lewd. We have a zero-tolerance policy for images use that is intentionally provocative and use of such an image may lead to removal from the platform.

NO UNAUTHORIZED IMAGE USE

Using images of brands / logos to which you do not have the rights to use will not be allowed.

GOOD RESOLUTION

Make sure your photo is at least 500 x 500 pixels for a crisp presentation.

Experience Recordings

Experience recordings are specific narratives about your connection to one of our topics. In these recordings, we encourage you to share a story about something that happened to you specifically and how it changed the way you handle similar situations now. Consider:

  • How did the experience change you?

  • What did you learn from the experience?

  • How could someone learn from what you experienced?

Experience recordings are like mini life lessons that illustrate how you have grown through a challenging or surprising time in your life.

Audio Quality

All Peer Listener recordings must meet the following criteria.  Audio recordings that fail to meet the minimum guideline standards will not be approved for the platform.

AUTHENTICITY

Peer recordings must present the Peer experience honestly and with an authentic voice. Any intentional (or unintentional) positioning in a recording that suggests anything other than an empathetic and caring person will not be accepted.

AUDIO QUALITY

Peer recordings must be clear and easily heard. Low volume, background noise, or a poor connection will not be accepted. For best results, we recommend you record using headphones that include a microphone.

MINIMUM LENGTH
Experience Recordings 60-90 seconds
