Here is an example of a successful experience recording broken down into its four parts. It is answering the prompt for Coursework:

Introduction: When I started college, my first year went pretty much the same way my High School classes had gone. That second year was when the trouble started.

Middle: Coursework started to pile up and I found out my grades were slipping. I talked to my professor about some extra credit opportunities and went to the library for group tutoring a couple times a week. I knew I was falling behind, but I was so overwhelmed that I felt unmotivated and discouraged.

End: Now that I’m in my third year, what's working for me the most is making a schedule. Instead of studying whenever I feel like it, I set a timer and hang out for an hour then work for an hour every weekday. I’ve been doing so much better lately and it’s really helped my stress level.

Encouragement: When you’re super stressed out, it’s hard to self-motivate. I’ve been there too. Just remember that you’re capable of figuring out study habits that work for you and be patient with yourself! You got this!
